“Hobbiton was absolutely magical. The bus ride was long, over 2 hours, but very comfortable. our driver, Marty, was very informative and funny. Our guide in Hobbiton, Stevie, was great! It was hard to stop smiling. Beer at the Green Dragon was a real treat, and Lunch at the pavilion was very good. A trip well worth doing if you are a fan of the movies or not.”

“Long driving day . Left at 7:45 am and got back around 7:30 pm. About 2.5 hours to glow worm caves then 1.5 hours to hobbiton and 2.5 hrs home. But the countryside is stunning! Must see! Glow worm caves were very unique but felt rushed and it was crowded. Not a favorite. But glad i saw glow worms in their natural habitat. Our guide wasnt the best could have been problem. Hobbiton was very cool and i am not even a fan of the movie. But the working farm gorgeous. Flowers are stunning. Fun seeing set and beauty all around you . Our bus driver was wonderful with tons…”

“Visiting Hobbiton is a life time experience, especially if you are a Tolkien fan, we really enjoyed it. Wai-O-Tapu was a disappointment, the smell was really bad because of the sulfur, i recommend to take the short walk and see the yellow lake which is at the very end and then take a rest.”
